At a time when human waste mountains are increasing and raw materials are being depleted extremely quickly worldwide, Sustenso is working on a wonderful sustainable project. By ingeniously converting agricultural waste into green gas and nutritional supplements, a beautiful circular process has been devised. “Last July we supplied the first green gas to Liander’s North Holland network,” says initiator Hans van der Weide. “After nine years of development, this is a historic moment.”
Sustenso, which is an abbreviation of SUSTainable ENvironmental SOlutions, definitely lives up to its name. Because the sustainable environmental solutions that the company devises have provided enough green gas for 4,500 households since this summer. “We want to increase this to eight million cubic meters of gas in three to four years, with which we can supply around 10,000 homes,” says Hans happily…
